Haha, I'm a fool
I'm trying to update more often; please bear with me while I try to remember how to avoid being boring. Be warned: I will fail often, and hard!

So after writing out my PMS-driven worry over having nobody to hang with in Sydney yesterday, I suddenly got a few notes and interested comments over at Facebook and now my week is fully booked. As per usual, it hadn't occured to me that the reason I was short on people for catch-up times was because I had FAILED TO ASK ANYONE. So anyway, zoo with Tim and the Fuzzy on Saturday (and Rach if she's up for it; I have not yet actually asked my gracious host if she's keen on spending the day with a bunch of animals - besides me, I mean), and some sort of coffee / dinner / drinks dealie with Greg and Elizabeth on Sunday. Be working my butt off Mon - Thurs and flying out Friday morning so I'd best be careful about making any further plans - plus I want some actual time to spend with Rach!

Dell finally got back to me; my loan application is approved, subject to presentation of a couple of bits of paperwork and ID. They want a tax assessment showing my business income but I haven't yet been in business a full year, so I don't have one - I'm going to send a bank statement (set to show incoming payments) and a copy of my 3rd Sense contract as proof instead; that ought to be acceptable.

Adders reckons I won't get the laptop in time for the Sydney trip. I'm MADLY crossing my fingers that I do, as 3rd Sense recently took on new staff and they aren't sure they can get an in-house setup for me in time after all. I'm not going to stress over it, as there's not a lot I can do. I'll just try like the dickens to get that laptop in time. Even if it means I have to ride Dell like a cowboy on a bull. Yee-ha.

Oh my god, I could have murdered mum's dog Maggie yesterday. I decided to try having the cats in the study with me, and leaving the rest of the house open so the dogs could come and go as they pleased while I worked. After a few hours of peace I heard a thump. Opened the study door to find Maggie in the entrance hall with an entire dead houseplant scattered across the carpet in front of her. It wasn't one of my current ones as mentioned last entry - this was a fern, a failed experiment I'd temporarily left in the garden. Anyway. Black soil EVERYWHERE.

It was a chance to road-test the Roomba and she did a bang-up job. The hand vac took care of the rest.

Dogs stay outside now. The cats are pretty happy with this arrangement!

Anyhow, there's work to be done so I'm off!

It's your journal. I'm interested in reading about the stuff that's important to you. And if/when I'm not, I think you'd rather I skim and skip rather than berate you for talking of plants. :P

Could you get the computer delivered to the workplace in Sydney?

It's a possibility. If Dell says they reckon they can't get it here on time, I might ask to make that arrangement - though I forsee this horrible turn of events with the computer constantly showing up where I'm supposed to be mere hours after I've left for the next place. It'd be like Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiago but without the awesome hats. :(

And oh yeah I kept reading that you were coming to Sydney and waiting for you to ask if we wanted to do something... :S

Have fun in Sydney! :D It's been freezing here lately, but then again you're in Tasmania, right, which I'm assuming is EVEN COLDER so you'll likely be fine haha.

I hope you have an awesome time at Taronga Zoo ahahah IT'S THE BEST.

Hahah oh man I'd love to but I have an assignment due over that weekend?!? Well actually it's due on the Friday but we have an unofficial extension until the Monday, and since it's a group project, and knowing how uni students are ... ahahaha.

It's cool though as I went fairly recently in September of last year. Ahaha it is a ton of fun, I'd def recommend going early though 'cause it's so huge and there's so much to see!
