iLove my new phone!

Hi LiveJournal! Thanks to the wonder that is the iPhone, I should be able to post here more often. (I can see how excited you all are.)

Having said that, I've nothing to say! Hammond and Adders are here and we're watching Dilbert. Awaaaay!

Current Location: Off with my iPhone

Now, of course, is the time to fill every available icon space with apps. ^_^

You might enjoy a bit of doodling around with Puppet Animation Lite - allows timed deformations of selected regions of images. 'Course, there are plenty more recommendations I could make.. but for keeping up with app releases, AppShopper is very handy, whether perusing the new releases, or price changes, to catch apps that are briefly made free, by way of promotion. For games in particular, their sister site's worth keeping an eye on: Touch Arcade. (Touch Pets: Dogs looks like it'll be pretty nifty, finally approaching release)

Another particularly handy utility is Discover, free (tiny ad banner supported) or paid (a couple dollars), providing a beautifully easy way of uploading and downloading files to the device, independent of iTunes syncing - it serves up a Flash front-end when you access it, as a normal local website (eg http://192.168.0.66/), everything managed from within your browser. Particularly handy if you've got some PDF books or manuals you want to read, on the go, or there's a file you want from a friend.

For apps I'd recommend Evernote, Yelp, Last.fm (or Pandora), Mint, Skype, and Flickr. If you use Dropbox there's an app for that too.
