Stress - Suffering From Elation
A Survivor's Tale
It's been a stressful week. Joe's been an angel though, including mopping up cat pee yesterday. Now that's love.

Westpac bank didn't update my account once over the long weekend. Apparently automatic bank account updates take the long weekend off too? Who knew?

As a result, I became overdrawn. My own fault, I know... I should, I dunno, balance a chequebook or something old-school like that, but in this day and age I tend to calculate my budget from my ATM receipt. This time, the receipt lied, and I wound up overdrawn. Westpac promptly hit me with a FORTY DOLLAR overdraw charge. That's just ridiculous, and I'll be phoning them later and registering my displeasure. (I typed 'abusing them accordingly' but I won't, because the poor bastard I get on the other end of the phone is not responsible for their employer's fuckery, and I refuse to take it out on them.)

Happily, I had birthday money from dad in my wallet, so I'm living on that and I'll be fine 'til payday.

Also my land rates are overdue, I've been putting everything towards the van savings and forgot to pull that payment from my last pay. But I can rectify that this coming payday. Also also, we're still waiting on our stimulus checks from the government, and as this is the only thing standing between us and getting the van, we're chafing with impatience. Not because we're consumer whores, but because Joe's car sounds more and more sickly with every passing day, and the fact that it's still running at all is possible proof that there IS a god.

Also I've had sore shoulders / upper back since last weekend, am heading towards a period (though happily, these are never as bad as they used to be) and accidentally dropped my headphones in a glass of water and killed them. This savage beast will not be soothed by any music 'til next payday. Also my electronic devices time their battery failures for moments of greatest inconvenience to me, and at least one of the cats has taken to doing things indoors which no creature should do, and up until today I've been overtired every day and had difficulty coping with such everyday annoyances.

On the upside, it IS Friday.

Bahahaa! It does, somewhat. Also a coffee helped. :)

This weekend, very little concrete, I think we're catching up with one or two people but it's all very nebulous. What do you have in mind?

Jason and I are going down to the coast Sunday to see his mum and siblings.

I didn't have anything particular in mind, just suffering from holidayitis.
