If it's XP with all the cords and whatnot, I'll take it.

Not XP, sorry - Linux. XP can be installed, apparently, I just never did it because I only used it for writing and Linux was fine for that. It's got all cords etc. Still interested, or no?

Yeah, I'll take it. Is that $200 including postage?

Nah, I was expecting someone close-by to take it - it only weighs 1kg though, I can't see postage being too much. I'll run the weight through Aus Post's postage calculator - whereabouts in Sydney (postcode, specifically) are you?

Pyrmont 2009.

His Nibs' laptop just died and I can surprise him with this. Success!

$10 postage. :) The package will include the laptop itself, the power cord, and a soft case that goes with it. My bank deposit details are:

Tania Walker
(Westpac)
BSB: 734 013
ACC NO: 628 553

And of course I'll need your full address. :) Email it to 'tania@crikeyduck.com' if you don't want to write it down here. :) I've already cleared my stuff off the laptop, so she's good to go. Instructions on loading WinXP can be found online, for memory - keep in mind that due to her teensy portable size she's got no inbuilt CD drive, so you'd either have to attach an external CD drive or load the install files onto an SD card or USB memory stick. I'll rack my brains and try to think if there's anything else you need to know, but right now I can't think of anything - eeePCs are wonderfully simple little machines. <3

Excellent! When I get home in a couple of hours I'll shoot the money over to you.

Win! I'm sure he'll love the eeePC. I always loved it for its lightness; taking most laptops out and about is a real production, but this one is great for that. :)

You might also consider the Aspire One, which is what I replaced my eeePC with. :) The very best deal I found (and subsequently bought) was here:

Such a lovely little machine! So shiny! Fingerprints can be an issue though. ;)
