This weekend...
This weekend is...

- Going on a long drive with Joe and niad's cuz to discover just what lies beyond Towoomba (we expect it may be a lot of big, flat nothing);
- Going to a nice restaurant with JB, Liz, and various others for cocktails and delicious foods;
- Vacuuming;
- Probably not getting around to tidying up the study;
- Probably not getting around to photographing my animation books to sell;
- Possibly finding a new home for my eeePC;
- Working out a budget for the USA trip!

I'm internally running in joyful circles because when we go to Vegas, we are going to see PENN AND TELLER LIVE! Wheeee!

If you make it as far as Miles there is a meuseam covering the initial breaking in of the area and there is also an old WWII ammo bunker site that has been turned into accomodation called possum park IIRC

Oh hey, cool thing in Vegas that may or may not appeal to you: there's a working pinball museum there. Ie, like, 100-odd pinball machines, ranging from the 1950s up to modern day machines, all in working playable condition. My husband and I had a lot of fun there. :)

Tip at the P&T show. Take a long and hard look at the bass player before the show. (If there is one)

Do you guys already have your Penn and Teller tickets? If you have specific dates, let me know.

There's a lot to see and do in Vegas. I could give you a basic brief tour, but it'd probably take five hours or so. From L.A. to Vegas is three hours; the producer crowd does it every weekend. I'd recommend a second day or night in Vegas to rest from LA and rest up for Grand Canyon. I'd give you a short tour one night, then P&T ("P&T," that is so backwards to me) the next day/night, then you get started toward the AZ the next morning.
