I'm in the future!

Apparently I'm posting to the future? Go me.

All is well at the moment. Yesterday I cleaned out and redecorated the hermit crab tank at work; it now has much improved Feng Shui. ;) The crabs seem pretty pleased. We've asked Joe to get us some tiny ones to contrast with the jumbo-osity of the current lot.

Richard's birthday was yesterday: happy birthday Richard! I want to learn more about wine. We got him a bottle of red for his birthday and, being rather clueless about such things, we simply opted to buy the oldest vintage we could find in (B)(W)(S). We run into this problem whenever we go to buy a bottle of wine; confronted with a wall of seemingly identical bottles, how do we choose? Usually we ask for advice, but now and then we've resorted to closing our eyes and pointing.

Joe appeared surprised by how easily I let go of the idea of buying a house together; and (without having read my journal entry about it) explained that he DOES want to own a place rather than renting forevermore, he's just not sure about an apartment being the way to go, and he also wants something we can pay off in ~15 years. Reconciling those two wants is going to be a challenge, but not impossible. So it looks like the move is potentially on again. Joe says he will put together a list of the things he wants so I don't have to take guesses, or work from his not-wants. Ultimately, if we're to do this, we need something that we're both happy to live in, as we will most likely both be living in it for quite some time.

Had dinner with Matt on Tuesday night, much fun was had. Locals, if you ever go to JoJos in Queen Street Mall, try the salmon pizza. It looks a little scary but it is DELICIOUS!

Speaking of which, it's lunchtime!

And white goods. :D

If you need to sell all your furniture again, I'm in!

Re: And white goods. :D

Naw, this time we'll actually need to BUY a couple of pieces - a fridge and a washer. Though there's assorted desks and such in the garage that I will need to find homes for. Come to think of it, do you have any sort of use for a set of pigeonholes?

Re: And white goods. :D

I've no doubt that I could find a use for them. :P

Unless you're selling rather than giving, in which case I'll have to (stingily) pass.

Re: And white goods. :D

At this point, I'm actually happy to give - I promised myself I'd clear some of the clutter from the garage At Any Cost. ;) If you want the p'holes, they're yours. When do you reckon you'd be able to pick them up? (No rush). :)

Re: And white goods. :D

Bleh, good question. I'll have to get back to you. We're probably talking in a month or two - my Dad (who drives) has just left and he's not really interested in coming down for a while yet!

If you get another offer in the meantime, go for it though.

No woz. :) Your "Harry Potter is Evil" review had me entertained for a good chunk of the morning, by the way. Cheers!

I apologize, but I'm posting here because my last two emails to you and fierycatthing were unanswered.

While I've noticed a few Artists_Beware membership requests or posts approved by one or the other of you, lately I seem to be doing the majority of the moderating. I know you are both very busy people, including moderating elsewhere, but I can't keep up with it all. I was wondering if either of you might know someone who would be a good mod and is interested in helping out. If I don't hear back within a couple weeks, I am going to make a post taking applications/nominations for moderators.

You're right, I've been to busy lately to do more than quickly check the community and approve anything I see waiting (I'm not sure what happened to your emails though, I haven't received any - sorry!). You're very welcome to make a post over there looking for new maintainers, and I'm happy to turn my maintainer-ship over to someone who has more time. :)
