A Survivor's Tale
I have to admit, Joe and I slept through it completely. However, it brought out all the creepy-crawlies, so as I walked up the hill to the bus stop this morning I encountered the BIGGEST SLUG I HAVE EVER SEEN. It was easily the length of my hand from fingertip to wrist. I took a phone-photo of it next to my iPod for scale.

To celebrate my credit-free status, Joey and I went out last night and spent money (haha, epic... I don't even know.)

I treated him to a dinner at Sun Fay in Indooroopilly. We both went to see the new Bond movie (the first twenty minutes was basically CHASE SCENE -> FIGHT SCENE -> CHASE SCENE -> FIGHT SCENE -> (repeat). All were very well choreographed and shot though, so no complaints.

Leaving the cinema, we passed promotional posters for "AUSTRALIA" and discussed how much we appreciate our country being represented by a screaming man in an Akubra. Which reminds me, when Adders gets back from the jungle, he, Hammond, Joey and I are planning an excursion up to the Sunshine Coast to check out the horrendous white marble memorial to Steve Irwin. Crikey!

Also, we discovered a neat little anime/manga/t-shirts shop in Indooro. Walking in, we sort of thought it was going to be lame, yet twenty minutes later we walked out with three brand-new anime box sets: Samurai Champloo, Great Teacher Onizuka, and... rats, I can't remember the other one, but I'd heard of it and Joe said it was good. At any rate, clearly this store has some sort of superpower that compels people to spend money on anime, so I advise you to avoid it at all costs.

I would very much like to be tempted by this shop. Where is it hiding?

Around the corner from the El Dorado, near Sun Fay. Basically if you get off the train, go through the underpass and start walking up the main road toward the shopping centre, it's on your left and you can't miss it. :)

Is that the one just next to the carpark? I swear most of that stuff's fake :P

Also ahhh Sun Fay! You know my mum used to work for Sun Fay like ... 30 years ago. Did I mention they sold my favourite chinese restaurant and now they are turning it into a BUFFET. I weep for Chinese cuisine, I weep. I might actually have to move closer to Sunnybank.

Thoughts on the Star Trek and Watchmen trailers?
