Things which are Not Good - Suffering From Elation

Things which are Not Good
I had a tongue-in-cheek entry about art and writing planned for this morning, but after a bout of gastritis last night, a sad LJ entry from a friend this morning, and a... fairly horrible link provided by Joe this morning, I've shelved it for another day. I do have a cheerful anecdote to post about Sawyer though - it deserves an entry of its own.

Gastritis is something that hits me now and then, maybe twice a year at most these days. It's an inflammation of the stomach lining bought on by stress, or bad eating/drinking habits, or any combination of the aforementioned. I think last night's bout was bought on in part by a little stress spike yesterday at work (I'm over it now) and in part by some too-rich chocolate ice cream I ate before bed. I'll be throwing out the rest of the tub tonight.

Today, my sore, sleep-starved eyes, fuzzy brain and wobbly stomach are reminders that I'd Bloody Well Better Watch Myself. Watch what I eat, and watch what I feel. So I don't feel bad today per se - just tired to the point of numbness.

I also managed to lock up a muscle down the left side of my shoulder yesterday, and now I can't pick up my coffee cup without a shooting pain down my arm. Oops, I'm drinking coffee. You didn't hear that...

Anyway, all of this is incidental and only serves to convey that I am Tolerating the world today rather than Enjoying it (my usual approach). I anticipate beddy-byes time with glee.

This is the link Joe gave me. It refers to a terrorist attack on American soil and I'm shocked that it hasn't had more exposure. [LINK] Children gassed at church after political propaganda hits Ohio.

Eh, i'd take anything from Kos with a large grain of salt (approximately the size of Gibraltar) as they are *really8 out there on the political fringe. You'd best check several other reliable sources before accepting anything you see there.

Please tell me you'll write the entry still! I'm curious.
