Hair hijinks
This is what Damien did to us on the weekend (well, that, and getting us addicted to Super Smash Brothers Brawl, and attempting to force a paradigm shift on my plans for the future...)

Joe's gone straight!

...Sort of. Good god, are his eyes RED??

I'm the forties, lol lol lol!! I'm carrying too much winter chub. :( And my eyebrows need waxing.

I love that my previous entry, being about boobies, got like a zillion comments. YOU CANNOT DENY THE POWER OF THE BOOBIES.

Amped on coffee again. *twitch* *zzt*

I pass that sentiment on to him every day. :D Today he'll cop it x2! He says when he grows up, he wants to be Doc from Back to the Future. ;)

Are you SURPRISED that boob entry got attention? XD
tania From: tania Date: July 31st, 2008 01:04 am (UTC) (Link)
Nope, just highly amused. It is comfortably in line with my expectations. ;)

You should just make a post with nothing but the word BREASTS and a picture. I bet it would generate more comments than anything ever!

I volunteer this one.

I'm at work, and thusly, will not be clicking that link anytime soon. ;D

...Wonder what you'd be like on Java Monster (an energy drink with coffee in it).

Boo to the 40's. Yay for the 20's! They had the flappers, after all (or, at least, in America they did).

OMG. Curly-haired Tani is The. Cutest. Thing. Ever.

And Straight-haired Joe is... o.O I'd say emo and kind of intense but the shirt he's wearing just totally threw me off that impression.
tania From: tania Date: July 31st, 2008 07:01 am (UTC) (Link)
That shirt throws a lot of people off a lot of things. :D Damien insists he's going to do curls for me again next time he sees me so good thing it looks cute, eh? ^___^

When you said straight-haired Joe looked like Greg, I was skeptical, but I kind of see it. Does that mean that straight hair is Greg's most prominent feature?

(I think the facial expression in the second picture might be part of the resemblance.)
tania From: tania Date: July 31st, 2008 07:00 am (UTC) (Link)
I think Greg's most prominent feature is his permanent look of slight confusion... does that count as a feature?

Is that Gidget hair or Farah hair? :P
tania From: tania Date: July 31st, 2008 09:19 pm (UTC) (Link)
I've been hanging out for someone to make a Farrah Fawcett reference! +10 retro-cool points to you. :D

Hillarious! Great minds do appear to think alike - I just got mine done yesterday! (Please pardon the graininess. Cameraphones suck. XDDD )

I saw the hair and instantly thought of Miss Mitzi of Lackadaisy Cats. I could totally see you running a speakeasy in your spare time.

Ooh, looks nice! Goes well with the glasses for that sexy-librarian look! ;)

That's sort of the style mine is usually in (you know... when I don't have gay men enthusiastically attacking my head!) - it's got a bit of a natural wave. I also love side parts. :)
opalchimes From: opalchimes Date: July 31st, 2008 11:01 pm (UTC) (Link)
Ah, yes. God bless Gay men and their enthusiam. If I want my makeup done by one of the counters in the mall, and I want it to be date/party/interview fabulous, I will deliberately hunt down the most flamboyantly gay man in Saks. The makeup is always HOT. Same with hair and shopping assistants. Every gay guy I've ever met in those lines of work is utterly fantastic at what he does.

You have very versatile hair. Looks cute in anything. And yes, side-parts are hot. I always have one lock of hair which insists upon hanging in my eyes, anime-style tho. No amount of product, hairspray, or threatening will make it stay. ^_^ Oh, hey, friend me? You're missing the half-nekkid pinups I'm drawing, not to mention the gay-fiction.

(...no, I can't quite believe I've come that far either. Is this me talking? Really?) XDDD

I totally want you to go swing dancing in that hair. Wheee!

Already friended you when I saw your first comment was screened, I don't know how I failed to do so earlier! Can I just say that:

1. That hairdo really is FANTASTIC for you - but I remember your hair being kind of frizzy (unless it just looked that way in the previous pic I saw, which was from a couple of years back now) how do you keep it so straight?? Do you iron it every day? I never had the patience for that.

2. I just went back and saw the photos of your parents' place. Compulsive hoarders much?? What amazes me is that there's many like them out there, and that successful cleaning businesses have been started purely on the basis of targeting hoarders as clients.

Meh, you have lots going on. I figured I'd remind you eventually, but you have to get tons of people whining and bitching about the whole F-list drama on here/Facebook/etc. There wasn't any sense adding to it. :p It's not a life or death thing!

It is VERY frizzy. *grin* The gal who cuts my hair says the whole trick is HEAT. If you've got curly, flyaway hair that needs a *lot* of direction to actually restyle and tame, the best thing is huge round brushes with boar bristles. You take your hair wet, put Redken 10 root boost in it to keep the roots and top from flattening out, then dry the base of your head first, using the brushes to pull up and away from your head for the lift effect. Then you style the rest of it by basically using the brushes as huge rollers and working from the bottom layers up. The more heat, the better. It tames the stray frizzies better than anything else I've tried. Smoothing serum is good as well. Biolage has some good stuff. I'd always been told blow-drying was HORRIBLE for curly hair, and made it even more brittle, but evidently not.

As to number 2, ...yes. Hoarders would be a good word. There must be some psychological disconnect concerning how bad it really is. Mum has an inability to throw ANYTHING out. At this point, the place may well be beyond professional cleaners and just need to be condemmed. I have fond moments imagining the fire department using it as a drills house and burning it down. I don't think it'll be worth trying to sell when my parents are too old to live there. :P

Hmmm, Farrah Fawcett. I'm seeing a bit of Katherine Hepburn as well.
